The AMA-Physician Consortium for Performance Improvement (PCIP) is a national, physician-led program dedicated to enhancing quality and patient safety. PCIP identifies and develops evidence-based clinical performance measures and measurement resources that enhance the quality of patient care and foster accountability. PCIP aims to promote the implementation of effective and relevant clincial performance improvement activities, and to advance the science of clinical peformance measurement and improvement.
