Dr Poon & Stecco have an outstanding CTA training program. It is strong in content, organization, diversity and live cast content. The complexity of Triple rule out, the day to day discussion in the laboratory and the case load make this course exceptional. They set a high standard.
The doctors are experts, possibly paralleled in their ability to teach and perform at the work station. The doctors have unique abilities in performing CT Angiography and interpretation of the results. They take great deal of personal time to share their vast knowledge. You want them as your role model. For pre-op evaluation, produced detail (lab) work station expertise and interpretive skills, they maybe unmatched in their knowledge, skills and commitment to training as well as course content.

Dr. Poon teaches you to read in a way that makes it much easier to make the transition with a cardiology background. It just made sense as opposed to another course I took which really forced you to become a radiologist. He has a very strong understanding of invasive cardiac angiography so it really helped me as an interventional cardiologist when manipulating the CT images. |

In the months of July and September 2006 I spent 4 weeks in Dr. Poon's laboratory at Cabrini Medical Center in New York City for level III cardiac CT training. The course was my initial introduction to cardiac CT and a fantastic experience!! During my stay I was personally tutored by Dr. Poon and his able associate Dr. Jurij Stecko in all aspects of cardiac CT including, but not limited to, indications, contraindications, data acquisition and processing, protocols, work station manipulation of data, pitfalls and artifacts, etc. Most importantly, however, was the vision and passion of Dr. Poon and his associates in defining the role of cardiac CT in the daily practice of cardiology now and in the future. Their outstanding knowledge, resources, and technical expertise have created a wonderful course that I recommend without reservation to anyone who has an interest at any level in learning about cardiac CT. I keep trying to find a reason to go back! |

Very practical course.
Training was very individualized and addressed:
1. Basic concepts
2. Acquisition protocol
3. Image processing and post processing
4. Academic aspects
5. Practical applications and
6. Every day life cases
Reading sessions were phenomenal and overall course provided an opportunity to test individual skills as they apply in real life.
I would personally recommend this to some one who wants to apply his or her skills as one of the CCT team member or wants to be a team leader with potential to become a program Director. |

Excellent course to learn how to start CT Cardiac Imaging Program.
Dr. Poon uses Siemens 64 and Tera Recon for post reconstruction. I went for 2 weeks at different times. After the 1st week, went back and did some CTA's. Then went back to the course at later time with more info and questions.
Excellent staff. |

Excellent teaching on intuitive interpretation. Very clinical and practical approach. It also emphasizes how to identify artifacts and pitfalls by using good mixture of cases including non-textbook cases. |

I attended Dr. Poon's Advanced CVCT Imaging Course at Cabrini in February '07. I was very impressed with his training program and knowledge of cardiac CT technology, imaging principles and techniques. He and his staff were very accommodating and provided exemplary training. The program provided me with a solid foundation in Cardiovascular CT Imaging and I am proud to say that I was trained by Dr. Poon. |

I found this course very helpful, both from the practical reading standpoint and its design. The student to instructor ratio is excellent and each student has their own workstation. The library has a wealth of pathology with angiographic correlation. I recommend this course highly. |

Excellent program. Provided an understanding of cardiac imaging, scanning protocols, along with many challenging cases. In addition provided an excellent opportunity for hands-on experience . Dr. Poon is excellent and well supported by Dr Stecko. The course is well structured and interactive. Provides a unique opportunity to understand and practice advanced reconstruction protocols. The didactic series of lectures covered basics and advanced applications of CT angiography; scanning protocols; pitfalls;indications and limitations of CT angiography. Dr Poon has a very high level of technical expertise and a wealth of knowledge on CT angiography. The support staff is knowledgeable, courteous and fantastic. All-in-all an amazing course and would recommend it very highly. |

Wonderful program. I am a Radiologist and working with the cardiologist helped me learn again about the heart. Others in my group went to different course, I was the only one comfortable reading CCTA straight out. Only one of the other Rads felt he had learned enough to even try. Just sent a second to this course and he called me in the middle thanking me. A great intro. Small size and hands-on were a must. |

I spent 4 weeks in Dr. Poon's lab for Level III cardiac CT training. The course was wonderful and I would highly recommend it. Now I am running an independent CT lab without any difficulty. Dr. Poon and /or Dr. Jurij Stecko were personally present all the time. They have an extensive library and variety of cases and I was able to witness acquisition of many challanging cases. I would highly recommend this course to any one seeking expertise in Caridac CT. |

This course was a perfect mixture of didactic presentations and practical hands-on experience including the actual data acquisition at the scanner and intensive review at the workstation. Dr Poon's formal presentations were superb. Watching him review real cases in real time was invaluable. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. There was an extensive library of cases available. Following the opening of our lab Dr. Poon took the time to review 50 of our cases - and that gave us confidence in the quality of our work and, now, with over 300 studies performed thus far we are very pleased with our results. In short, I cannot image a better learning experience and plan on returning for refresher visits from time to time. |

This course is excellent. Dr. Poon has a wealth of experience in patient management with CT angiography, as well as a high level of technical expertise. His staff is knowledgeable, courteous, accommodating and delightful. The volume of cases on a daily basis is reasonable enough to allow in depth analysis. His teaching files are replete with important cardiac pathology. In addition, he would often have industry representatives come in during our training dates to supplement training specific to their equipment (TerraRecon and Siemens). I give this course my highest recommendation. |

This is an amazing course for many reasons. Drs. Poon and Stecko personally tutored me through each cardiac CTA starting from the technical aspect of scanning through processing and through image interpretation. There were many real patients being scanned such that I got to practice each very important aspect daily during the course. The live reading of actual on going cases (AND there were many) allowed one to see exactly how to process, read and interpret these studies in "real life"- which is a very valuable aspect compared to previously scanned studies. The lecture series are some of the best I have heard on the topic, and were given personally by Dr. Poon, who clearly has an utmost understanding of cardiac anatomy, pathophysiology, and the limitations and strengths of CT. Deciding between artifact and real lesions can sometimes be very difficult but the principals and methods taught made that process much easier. Furthermore, the database of confirmatory catheterizations allowed me to reinforce what I was seeing and allowed me to appreciate the pitfalls of artifacts clearly. I have a background in both cardiology and radiology, and I highly recommend this course to physicians in both fields who have a strong interest in learning and utilizing this technology in a manner that will provide accurate and responsible service to patients and referees. |

This course had the exact right mix of theoretical information (delivered in clear associstion with practice patterns and with very high clinical relevance), technical instruction on how to troubleshoot the imaging process, and structured reading sessions with report generation.
The venue, equipment and general set-up was outstanding. |
